Labor induction acupuncture is safe and effective and works harmoniously with the delicate hormonal balance of pregnancy to promote labor.
It is difficult to comment on what women can reasonably expect after an acupuncture induction treatment as no two pregnancies are ever the same.
From my experience, acupuncture is very effective in inducing women who are past their due dates, especially if they are prepared to commit to daily sessions and allow adequate time before medical induction is scheduled. I find that 3 to 4 daily treatments usually make some difference.
Case 1
39 weeks pregnant with my second child and hoping for a VBAC I went to Dr. Luke for acupuncture to help bring labor on so that I would not need induction. My third treatment was on my due date at 4 pm and by 10 pm that night contractions started!!!! This was a Sunday night and I delivered her on a early Tuesday morning. It was a long labor bc with my son I had emergency section so this was my bodies first time being in labor. Dr. Luke was so kind and I know that with his help I was able to go into labor on my own and I delivered the morning I was suppose to be induced! Thank you Dr. Luke for everything .
